Diablo 4 Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are upgrade components that can be slotted into weapons, armor and trinkets to provide an added benefit. They are usually more expensive and require the item be at a certain rank.
Items with very high requirements generally don't see much value in being upgraded. This is especially the case for items like the eth Titans, which don't have much variation.
Glyphs
After reaching the 50th level in Diablo 4, Blizzard's action RPG takes a turn from its streamlined campaign into the final phase. This is when things really begin to change, as players are being pushed into the Paragon Board leveling system, Nightmare Dungeons, and new grinds to ensure that their character's build is as strong as it can be.
Glyphs play a key role in this progression. Glyphs' stats and effect radius on the Paragon Board are boosted by increasing their upgrade level. There are several ways to acquire these upgrades, however most players will be relying on the primary method of raiding Faction Crypts.
Glyphs lets you add symbols to your text. You can choose from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. upgrade item displays glyphs initially in the font that the cursor is placed but you can switch to another font or type style, and limit the glyphs available to a specific subset by selecting an option from the options below the Entire Font (for example Punctuation displays only punctuation symbols). By moving your pointer over any glyph, you'll be able to view its CID/GID as well as Unicode value in a tool tip.
Once you've inserted a few glyphs, the Glyphs panel will keep an eye on the last 35 glyphs you used and will make them available under the category of Recently Used on the first row of the panel (you must expand the panel to view all 35). You can also remove them from this list by right-clicking or Control-clicking a glyph in the list and selecting Remove From Recent Glyphs.
The Glyphs Panel also allows you to design a custom set of glyphs, which can be useful if you often need to type certain text types. This will prevent you from having to manually insert every glyph every time you need it.
A custom glyph can have the maximum of 30 glyphs. This includes the base name and its suffix. The base name must contain uppercase English alphabetic letters (A-Z) as well as lowercase English alphabetic letters (a-z), European numbers (0-9) as well as underscore (_) and other glyphs. The suffix can include ligatures, or contextual alternates. These are special variations that combine two or more letters into one glyph.
Reroll Tokens
Upgrades are the principal mechanics that offer extra bonuses to items, such stats. Upgrades come in different kinds: reroll levels up, recycle and reroll. Each type offers a different set of extra bonuses to an item.
Reroll Tokens allow players to alter the base power of an item and the number of upgrades available, and can also be used to reroll substats of ring. This can be useful if an item's fully upgraded (or "potential") power is less than the player would like or if its current substats are not ideal.
A reroll costs 1 token, and resets all upgrades to an item but will leave the rarity, set and level of the item. Leveling an item up increases its level and with each tier, the main stat is boosted by +3, while a random extra stat is boosted alongside it. The level of an item is increased by 1 when you raise an item to its highest achievable level.
The Blueprint Desk allows players to purchase new appliances, ingredients, and Decorations for their restaurant. Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each preparation phase. They can be opened using the Grab. Each blueprint has a unique icon, with each type of upgradeable item having various icons:

The choice of a franchise card through the Blueprint Desk will allow you to obtain certain appliances or ingredients needed for certain recipes. Certain appliances and ingredients are considered staples, which means that they will never be available at the Shop or through a reroll. However, others have a greater chance of being available if a particular Franchise Card is selected from the Blueprint Desk. This is known as the Staple Pool, and the items contained in it will remain in that pool for the duration of the run. When purchased from the Blueprint Desk, non-staple equipment is also transferred to the Seed Pool.
Recycled Items
The magic happens with the third "R," recycling. You can benefit the environment by recycling a product made of recycled material. The majority of recycled items are returned to the manufacturer from which they came to be remade as an entirely new item. We call this "closing of the recycling loop."
If a person throws something into their recycling bin at the curb it is taken to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) where it is separated and sorted into various components. Then, it gets sold on to manufacturers who will then re-make the product. Items that are typically made into new products are:
This process reduces the necessity to harvest, cultivate or extract raw materials to create something else. This reduces the damage done to nature. Less trees are chopped down and rivers are diverted and wild animals are displaced. This also reduces pollution from the dumping of raw materials into our soil, water and air.
As an added bonus buying recycled products can help keep local jobs and businesses in business, particularly those that specialize in manufacturing products using recycled materials. The demand for recycled products makes companies more inclined to take part in this environmentally friendly effort.
The final reason to purchase recycled products is that it takes less energy to produce new items from recycled material as compared to creating them out of raw materials. This is because the manufacturing process of creating a new aluminum can requires 95% more energy than the manufacturing of an identical aluminum can from recycled material. Every little amount counts.
Leveling
The majority of units can increase their level, giving them more XP every time they attack or are attacked. The XP used for this is used to unlock upgrades or increase the main stats of the unit. Weapons are an excellent example of this, as they can be leveled up to increase their damage and range.
Most leveling systems have a minimum number of levels that must be achieved, but it can differ from game-to-game. Making use of coins or other materials is the only way to level up. Most systems use both, though some employ one.
Leveling is a major issue in a variety of games since it makes some units too powerful, and other units aren't able be competitive with them. Limiting the amount of leveling players are allowed to do will force them to consider what they want to upgrade, and the reasons behind it.
